My peach trees did not fruit this year that last frost took out all my flowers. Same with my pear trees and plum trees. My apple trees made it to fruit, so i will have apples this year. Do you can the peaches whole?

Mina, Our fruit trees got hit hard by the late killing frost here in South Central Missouri. The plum, pear, and peach trees all fell victim. The apple tree was loaded with fruit till all the soaking rain and a couple days of high winds, now its laying on the ground with it's roots looking at the sky. Sorry you cut your finger, hope its not to bad. I remember my Grandpa used to whitewash the trunks of the trees. I thought it was to help with the bugs, but talking to other old people, they say that it also kept the tree from running sap during that warm spell we get in late winter. They told me it would cause the trees to bloom about 3 weeks later, and usually miss that late frost. I intend to try that this year, and replace that apple tree with a couple more.
