We are located in South Central Missouri, about thirty miles North of the Arkansas border. The weather here has been crazy. It has been cold and wet most of April and so far in May. We get rain, and wind every couple days. Sometimes it is a light rain and other days its inches in a few hours. The ground here has yet to dry out more than an inch or so. It has made it really hard to get the garden planted. What we have been able to get into the ground isn't doing as well as it should, the ground temp is just too cool. I am curious as to how others are doing.

Oldie, everything we planted by seed, except the green beans, did not come up. The plants we bought at Hirsch's did very well.

shawnb... we start all our own plants, with exception of getting seed potatoes and the occasional new plants my wife sees when she is in town. Direct seeding is usually for beets,carrots,radish, and sweet corn.

I got lucky and have 2 10lb bags of potatoes sprouting right now! I'm trying to keep them until March. If you can't find any seed potatoes, not counting on any garden related materials being available in 2021, get organic potatoes and organic sweet potatoes and make your own. Supposedly, they can't spray those. I mean other than the sky grids that fall onto our plants...

We usually have enough sweet potatoes left to grow our own slips, white potatoes don't seem to last till spring, wish I had a root cellar.
