Some thoughts behind this Forum

For those of you new to this forum and maybe wondering why? Why start this when there are already other sources on the internet to communicate through. I don't think its a secret to anyone that most of the social media sites used are just not safe or secure no matter how much they claim they are trying to make them. I also feel the amount of time we have left to freely communicate is less and less so we need to use this medium why it lasts to make our connections and further our knowledge. This site has the potential to handle most all of the needs we might have as a community to share with each other and stay connected. Yes, it is new so the communication may be slow but as more join it will become more active. The forum categories I have created can be changed if needed. I also created a category for local groups. This area can be developed for any local or regional group that would like to use this site as their means to communicate. The local group forum can be made private for group members only or open to the public.

Any input is very welcome. This isn't being done for any personal gain. I just have the desire to help others learn, grow and communicate more. Thank you.
