Man this has been a wet winter! We do all our laundry by hand and dry on a line and it's been a tough one with all the rain. We do have a way to hang clothes inside but not a lot. Having 4 kids at home there's always a lot of laundry to do and the weather has made it hard to get it dry. I can get it to dry eventually when it's just cold but all this moisture has been tough.

We have had same issue. Just the two of us though.

I'd put me some of those screen door latch eyelets into some studs, up high and on opposing walls then run me some temp ridgelines with paracord or some other suitable string. Put them up at bed time and take them down in the morning so they wouldn't be in the way. Wouldn't be terribly noticeable in my place, don't know if it would stand out too much for yours.

Travis, from the look of your clothes (neat and clean), I am guessing that you use a commercial detergent. I used to make my own laundry soap, but even with using a washing machine, after a while the clothes started losing their shape and looking dingy. I had to go back to commercial detergents.
I've been missing your youtube videos lately. While you're probably just busy, if you've run out of things to talk about, maybe you could do a laundry-by-hand video. I'd be interested in that. At any rate, I hope you and your family are doing well.

At any rate, I hope you and your family are doing well. Update: Here it is four months later. A couple months ago, I found a new recipe for homemade laundry soap using Fels Naptha instead of the Zote I was using, and I am very happy to say that the results are excellent. Even the musty smell in the towels is totally gone now, and Tide couldn't remove it. Anyway, I am just thrilled to report that I've had much better luck with the new laundry soap recipe, which is getting my clothes cleaner than any of the commercial detergents did. The only concern I have is that my whites are not as bright as I'd like since the soap doesn't have optical brighteners. I might try to find some bluing, but for now I guess I'll just occasionally wash the whites in some leftover Tide to maintain the brightness. If anybody has any suggestions, I am open to hearing them.

You need a laundry spinner. My amish cousins all have them. Clothes go in after the wash in the wringer, and the spinner will ring them out even more, so they dry faster. They are powered in our area by a car battery that has been solar charged. We all have a few solar panels that just charge batteries like that
