Today the Wife and I repacked one shed of stuff, we are trying to be mindful about the move and how each pound us gonna cost us in gas heading back home. I think so far we've got it down to a cargo trailer, we had to prioritize what's important for us to take. So far we got all her canning goods and tools packed and ready, and now I'm taking all my mechanic tools yard and garden tools, I'm thinking I have more stuff than her lol! All in all I'm probably still gonna have to atleast do 3 trips that is gonna be 9000 miles all together, but it'll be worth it!

We were dumb and moved it all haha. It would have been cheaper to sell or give it away and replace it here. However times have changed and I would say you have the right idea. Prioritize and get the important stuff first, then figure out what to do with whats left. It's not as cheap or easy to replace now days.

We moved from the Houston, Tx metro to Oregon County. MO four months ago. We purged all we could in the 45 days notice we had and still ended up moving waaay more than we should. Professional movers moved the majority of our stuff but we rented a cargo van to move our preps and my goddaughter & her husband drove them for us. It was actually cheaper to purge and replace most of our furniture & all our appliances than to move them. The only downside we've discovered is that it's taken 4 months to get the stove (off grid-able LP range) we bought delivered.

Well the wife and I been doing a lot of praying, and we are probably going to sell everything off except canning stuff and 2 tool boxes of tools for me. Here dad died last year and he was a hordere and it took a year to the date to finally get rid of it all. So we really looked at this situation as do we really wanna prep this much like he did, and in that moment as we where obviously taking stuff to stock up on we had that moment when the Holy spirit speaks pretty loud and my wife looks at me and I at her and we agree that some where in dealing with all this stuff we where not trusting in the Lord. I know pretty sappy lol! but it gets us to Missouri faster less stressed and free from worry about stuff. I we really think Jesus is really working on us and has us to the potter's flames molding us to be more trusting in him instead of ourselves. Sorry I get on a roll and pretty much love Jesus 😁.

Hello JDhuff. I agree, the heat is getting turned up and Jesus wants our eyes on Him while simultaneously prepping. Ultimately we will be just fine!
