Hi, glad to be part of the group. Can’t say we’re “homesteading” as we’re in a development, but I wish we were able to (hubs not in a position to move/change jobs). So trying my best to get some planting in here on our little piece of the planet with traffic whizzing by. Also hoping to find some like-minded people still stuck in this neck of northern DE.

We're in Oregon County. Mo as of 4 months ago. We have a tiny place compared to some, a hair under an acre. We've done nothing with it so far as we've been concentrating on getting the house in order since we got here. Chickens & rabbits and as big a vegetable garden and medicinal herb garden as I can manage are the plan, tho.

Just joined. Looking forward to talking to other people who enjoy homesteading. I raise chickens and have just started raising meat rabbits. also enjoy gardening and growing herbs for medicine. I love Biking, Hiking and Kayaking. I only live on one acre, so I am not able to have other farm animals.

Hello from North Carolina. Homesteading on 2 acres of personal land on a family owned acreage.. Wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother is my title so far...Due to health issues we had to give up planting our fields and raising our own meat... but we do container gardening and still heat our home by wood heat... WE can veggies, freeze veggies and dehydrate food.... Thanks for having me here !

Hello from Washington state (for now…we are contemplating a move to Idaho). Homesteading skills have always been an interest and hobby of mine even before it became cool. Thanks to The Prepared Homestead I am actively working on building a community in my area. I look forward to learning from others and sharing some of the stuff I have learned over the years.

Greetings. I am a 64 y/o widow and retired RN who is in Love with Jesus Christ and I am ever so thankful He's navigated me through this life since I was 16 yrs old. Although I've veared off the straight and narrow many times, My eyes began opening when I found out 10+ yrs ago that what I was hearing from the conventional pulpit all those decades was quite the opposite of what The Word actually teaches. It was when I began praying before my studies and welcoming the Holy Spirit's interpretation. I Give The Father ALL The Glory! I live near the Coast in Mississippi and have been praying for Christian fellowship... I'm grateful that Travis has opened this forum up that I might introduce myself to you guys. Blessings to You All!

This may not be allowed and if it isn't please disregard. I'm trying to find a list of veterinary medicines (antibiotics etc) that in an emergency could be used for humans. In the state of Washington we are getting closer to medical providers refusing service to the non jabbed.

Hi folks, glad to be on this forum. We are soon going to be moving to Harrison Arkansas. We are ready to start building on our homestead soon. We are currently going to be living in our rv until we have our land cleared and build our home. We are moving from Florida and don't know how cold the winter maybe there? Should we hunker down in Florida until the spring and then start the process, or come and start now? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello from Northern UTAH/Southern IDAHO. Living with my parents, trying to get us as prepared as possible for whatever’s coming down the chute. It’s slow going, and super frustrating sometimes. I just keep on keepin on. When something finally snaps into place and actually WORKS! Then it’s all worth it. Very grateful for this Forum, am trying to move away from the big social media. They’ve sold their souls. ☠️

Hello all. Thank you, Travis, for providing this forum for us to be able to have a place to connect with each other and possibly find likeminded people in our area. I’m in west Texas- Permian Basin area. I do not have a homestead and we are not allowed chickens in city limits. I do wish we were able to move out of this small city onto some remote land, but my husband is still working. I’m newly retired. I have a backyard garden that provides us with a lot of good produce and since the climate is relatively mild I can grow things year round. I do preserve a lot of food with canning and dehydrating. I’ve been preparing since I felt the tug from the Holy Spirit during a Bible study of Mark,Chapter 13 in early January of 2019, just around the time the word of the pandemic came out. I would appreciate connecting with anyone in my areas.
