Well we got our first seed catalog today. Baker Creek Seeds. Don't think my wife put it down all night. I can see another seed order coming haha.

Do you think with the mRNA modifications being made to our foods and commercial seeds for commercial farms, that our seed suppliers will be impacted? Do we need to find other sources and rely totally on our own seed sourcing?

We grow heirloom seeds, save our own where we can and swap with others. We order what we need from Rareseeds.com

I use Baker Creek, Fedco, Victory Seed, High Desert, and Seed Savers exchange. I save as many as I can. Im getting better at it. If somethings survives our savage summers I figure it needs saving for another season.

I love them and read as many as I can. When I started out in gardening, I found them a good source of information about when to sow, when to harvest. There's always something new to learn in them. I like to try new-to-me old varieties, particularly keen on beans. When I had my large garden, I got a lot of heirloom/heritage seeds from the U.S. - sadly not so easy these days with import regs, customs etc. E-bay is good for seeds, but you can't beat a good long soak in a hot bath with a large whisky and a pile of seed catalogues!
